POLYCARBONATE FLAT SHEETS

RHINO TUFF

POLYCARBONATE FLAT SHEETS

RHINO TUFF POLYCARBONATE FLAT SHEETS are superior substitutes for glass especially in terms of impact resistance. They can be as transparent as clear glass but are about 200 times more impact resistant and therefore serve as excellent architectural glazing material.

They can be general purpose (non-UV) for indoor applications like office partitions or could be UV Coated for outdoor uses like facades. They can be made available in several colours and tints including RHINO Solar Heat Shield & RHINO Solar Heat Block Colours. Solar Heat Shield are low haze colours that provide a clear view and fair amount of light, avoid shadows of objects and limit solar heat transmission by reflecting heat causing IR Rays back towards the atmosphere. Solar Heat Block Colours transmit a limited amount of light while completely blocking solar heat for relatively cool building interiors.

They can also be provided with special abrasion resistant coatings for scratch resistance and condensation control properties to help avoid the problem of leakages due to condensation in greenhouses and conservatories.

FEATURES

  • Optical clarity - can transmit up to 90% natural light like clear glass
  • Energy saving - save a large amount of power meant for artificial light
  • Customisation - can be made available in any size, thickness, colour and surface textures
  • Strength - mechanically strong, impact resistant, shatter proof and virtually unbreakable. Do not break due to high impact or fall of heavy loads
  • UV protected - do not allow cancer causing UV Rays to pass through and do not de-generate and yellow due to exposure to sunlight for long spells. They retain their original colour and appearance for consistently high light over a long period
  • Fire safety - fire resistant and comply with the highest standards of fire safety and performance
  • Low weight - light in weight and therefore easy to handle and install
  • Weather resistant - resist strong winds, hail and extreme temperatures from -50°C to +120°C
  • Visible light transmission level - ranging from 30 - 90%. Desired light transmission can be achieved by selecting appropriate colours and tints
  • Light diffusion - diffuser colour diffuses, scatters and spreads light for uniform and consistent illumination over a large area, avoiding shadows, glare and patchy light
  • Solar heat control - RHINO Solar Heat Shield & RHINO Solar Heat Block Colours reflect heat causing IR Rays back towards the atmosphere to limit or block transfer of solar heat into the building
