POLYCARBONATE SKYLIGHT DOMES FOR STEEL ROOFS are large-sized thermally insulated Light Domes that are used in industrial buildings and warehouses for soft-diffused natural light. They are fixed over corrugated steel or sandwich panel roofs of metal frame buildings using customised GRP Roof Curbs. The Polycarbonate Light Domes are 90% transparent like clear glass to capture and concentrate maximum amount of sunlight from dawn to dusk.
They are rectangular in shape and measure up to 2.28 Mtr. x 0.88 Mtr. in size. They are mechanically strong, impact resistant, weatherable and are suited for use in extreme climates.
They provide a large amount of soft-diffused natural light over a large floor area while limiting the transfer of solar heat and sound into the place of installation for relatively cool, comfortable and peaceful interiors.
The Polycarbonate Domes are snugly fixed over a customised UV stable GRP Roof Curb. The Thermal Liner Panel fitted at the foot of the GRP Roof Curb limits transfer of solar heat while also diffusing light for a uniform and even spread of light over a large floor area. The GRP Soaker Plates can be manufactured in any profile or corrugation matching that of the roof sheet for quick and easy integration with the roof and for proper leakage proof installation.
They can also be thermally insulated to avoid problem of condensation inside sheds. The GRP Soaker Plates can also be configured with Sand Trap Louvers to facilitate natural roof ventilation.
